Meanwhile, MTZ intends to start designing a new municipal truck. The current model Sh-406 uses diesel fuel while municipal services are already switching to purely environmentally friendly vehicles. This is why the new municipal truck will be fully electric. In the future it will become a basic model for designing other kinds of vehicles and machines for urban infrastructure maintenance, road maintenance, and other applications.
MTZ will continue improving tracked tractors. The company now offers models for ameliorative operations, civil engineering and agricultural applications. There are plans to install an electric transmission into the latter. It will greatly reduce fuel consumption in addition to making driving more convenient.
According to Vladimir Korobkin, MTZ has set out to accomplish an ambitious goal: start upgrading the entire lineup of special-purpose vehicles. The company intends to make innovative vehicles that use new principles in order to lay the groundwork for distant future, too.
