The standardized program for commissioning of nuclear power plant units with water-water power reactors consists of four stages: pre-commissioning (stage A), physical start-up (stage B), energy start-up (stage B) and pilot operation (stage D).
"The main purpose of phase A - testing the design parameters of the systems and equipment of the reactor installation of the power unit before loading fuel, explained the essence of the upcoming trials of Vice-President - project Director for building the Belarusian nuclear power plant of JSC IK "ASE" Vitaly Polyanin. - Also at this stage, tests of the sealed enclosure of the reactor building are carried out."
The Belarusian nuclear power plant with two WWER-1200 reactors with a total capacity of 2,400 MW is being constructed on Russian project near the town of Astravets (the Grodno region). The first power unit is planned to be put into operation in 2019, the second - in 2020.
