Valery Voronetsky informed the delegation about the international forum "One belt, one road", which is going to be held in the industrial Park "Great stone"in June 2019. He also said that the international parliamentary conference of the silk road support Group in the OSCE PA, which was established in Minsk in July 2017 at the 26th annual session of the OSCE parliamentary Assembly, will be organized in Belarus in May.
"The Belarusian side expressed hope that the representatives of the PRC will take an active part in the conference, and the parliamentary dimension of support for the silk road will become an effective dialogue platform," the press service noted.
The sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral relations. Special attention is paid to the implementation of a large-scale project of the Belarusian - Chinese cooperation-the Great stone industrial Park.
During the meeting, Valery Voronetsky stressed that the expansion of comprehensive relations with China is one of the strategic priorities of the Belarusian foreign policy.
The parliamentarian assured that Belarus is an absolute supporter of the Chinese initiative "One belt, one road". "In the new geopolitical conditions, in the context of the formation of the silk road economic belt, the role of Belarus as an important link in the Eurasian space is seriously increasing. With this in mind, the economic, scientific, technical, innovative, transport, logistics and human potential of the country in the interests of the whole of Eurasia can be fully involved," the House of representatives is convinced.
In turn, GU Sanctum stressed the important role that Belarus plays in the creation of the new silk road. During their visit, the Chinese parliamentarians intend to explore opportunities for increasing cooperation with Belarus in the implementation of this project. GU Shengzong also spoke in favour of deepening bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
