The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and LG Electronics Inc. invites young scientists to take part in the competition

03.09.2020. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus invites young scientists of the Republic of Belarus to take part in the contest "Technology Offers of Belarusian Young Scientists for LG Electronics Inc. 2020". The Contest is held in order to identify and promote the commercialization of the development of young scientists of Belarus that meet the current technology needs of LG Electronics Inc. Organizers of the Contest: National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and LG Electronics Inc. with the support of the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the NAS of Belarus and the Republican Center for Technology Transfer. Scientists under the age of 35 are allowed to participate in the competition. To reward the winners, a prize fund of $ 5,000 is allocated (1st prize - $ 2,000, two second prize $ 1000 and two thirds $ 500 each).

The competition is held in two stages.

The first stage (constantly until 15.09.2020) - informing potential participants about the Contest, consulting the Contest participants.

Second stage (until 15.10.2020) - determination and awarding of the winners of the Competition:

- defense of selected projects by the author (team of authors) before the selection committee;

- presentation of an approved sample to each participant of the Competition;

- Winner's reward ceremony.

Competitors are offered competitive technology requests from LG Electronics Inc. Among the requests are extraction film of light for OLED display, antibacterial and antiviral materials and technologies, the development of a low dielectric, durable and cheap plastic composite for 5G communication, protective layers for metal lithium electrodes, and other interesting topics.
