"The trade turnover increases from year to year. In the past year we have achieved growth of about 15%. Trade turnover has reached almost $400 million Since the beginning of the year (in four months. - Primas'. BelTA) we register even more confident growth: we are talking about almost 20 percent growth in trade and our exports as well. The first and the most important position of our export is wood products: houses, wooden structures, furniture. The priority in the development of our exports to France is the supply of complex technical products. There are already certain developments in this regard - for the supply of x-ray equipment. In addition, our products are used, for example, in such industries as processing and storage of agricultural products," Igor Fisenko said.
In recent years, a whole layer of areas of cooperation between Belarus and France in the field of culture has been developed. "Naturally, all these areas will be supported and developed. A few weeks ago we opened another exhibition of works by Belarusian artists in a gallery near the Louvre. This time they were contemporary artists from Vitebsk. Every year, a series of events are held to attract the attention of the French public to Belarus. Together we perform the Belarusian anthem in one of the squares of Paris. This is a traditional action of the Embassy," the Belarusian Ambassador to France said.
In 2018, Belarus was visited by about 15 thousand French. "About 6 thousand of them came to us without visas, that is, this measure is very popular. I would like to attract twice or even three times more French people to Belarus within a few years. In this regard, special importance is attached to the II European games, which will be held in June in our country. Of course, this is a great event, and we are constantly telling everyone about the competitions to be held in Belarus, and we note that the entry procedure will be greatly simplified. More and more people are reacting to this information with interest, and we hope that in June there will be many guests from France in Belarus," Igor Fisenko said.
II European games will be held in Minsk from 21 to 30 June. More than 4 thousand athletes from 50 countries will compete for 200 sets of awards in 15 sports.-
