World entrepreneurship week opens in Belarus

12.11.2018. World entrepreneurship week (GEW) opens today in Belarus. Its key event will be the country's first exhibition and forum of innovative companies and startups Gew Belarus, which will be held on November 13 and 14 at the national exhibition center "BelExpo". The forum will bring together representatives of business and government to share experiences, identify development strategies, gain valuable knowledge and establish useful links.


On November 13, belbiz Battle startup competition is held with the support of the British Embassy in Belarus. The competition will be useful for companies in the real sector, organizations supporting and building infrastructure, as well as a new generation of entrepreneurs. Belbiz Battle is the best opportunity to announce your idea at the national level, attract new users and get access to European business accelerators. This year, five winning teams will be selected - they will go to London, where they will be presented to international investors.

The program of the forum also includes an event for children and adolescents - a conference on business AdVenture. It will be held on November 14.

This year, entrepreneurs will be able to present their services or products with a personal stand at the exhibition. This opportunity is available to all companies that value technology and innovation, but the priority is given to startups.

World entrepreneurship week is an annual global event that brings together 170 countries in search of new ideas for entrepreneurs. In 2018, from 12 to 18 November, GEW will gather more than 15 thousand partner organizations around the world with the support of the Kauffman Foundation. The world entrepreneurship week has been held in Belarus since 2011. Official representative - LLC "center of business communications "Belbiz". The partners of GEW Belarus are the us Agency for international development, the development Bank of Belarus, the Ministry of economy, the international Finance Corporation and the British Embassy. The event will be supported by the Council of Ministers of Belarus.
